An abbreviation for Direct Injection Process/Production, which describes a technique for manufacturing a sole from liquid polyurethane (PU) that is injected into a mold directly attached to the bottom of the shoe. After the mass has hardened, a perfect fit is achieved, without gluing or unnecessary seams. The three main advantages of this solution are: reliability (it is the strongest way to attach a rubber sole to the shoe), waterproofness (no gaps like with a glued sole) and diversity in terms of shape and color options of the resulting soles.
PU (Polyurethane)
A material used to create thin, flexible, lightweight shoe soles. Polyurethane perfectly insulates from the ground, absorbs shock, is lightweight, flexible, very durable and resistant to abrasion.
